About MIKE DAINES PHOTOGRAPHY
Mike Daines is an editorial features and corporate event photographer based in London. He regularly shoots celebrity exclusives for Hello! magazine and interiors for an international client base that includes Living Etc, Homes and Gardens and Elle Decoration.
In a career spanning 30 years Mike is the consummate artist at creating stunning imagery in a relaxed and refined atmosphere from what might have been acutely stressful situations. The early days were spent working for local newspapers and Fleet Street news agencies followed by contracts with The Sun and Sunday Mirror newspapers. “Those days were really the dying days of what was known as “Fleet Street”, says Mike. “They were great fun and it’s where I honed my joy of photographing people and the skill of putting them at ease in front of my camera”.
The spontaneity and adrenalin rush of celebrity features and portraiture is perfectly tempered by Mike’s other passion for architecture and interior design and the photographic disciplines required to execute an interior photo feature. “The two are like chalk and cheese and give me a perfect balance.”
